Roland HS-60

Roland HS-60 Image

Simply, a consumer level Juno 106 with built in speakers and amplifier. It's quite a bit uglier but sounds all the same. Marketed for the home user hobbyist. It even has a sheet music stand option. It's cool if you can find one because it's like a portable Juno 106 that you can play anywhere with those built in speakers! Another feature of this synth is its stereo MIX IN, a stereo input for jamming with other sources of music through the internal speakers. If you're going to use the HS-60 in the studio, you'll need to insert a 1/4 inch plug into the headphone output to bypass the internal speakers since they will continue to output sound when a plug is inserted into only the main audio outs, and this can be quite annoying for studio work.

We just picked up a Roland HS-60 in mint condition at a church sale for $25, this is a great instrument and will double stack nicely with my Piano. Happy Trails,

Well it's quite obvious that it is a good deal isn't it considering most HS-60/106's go for at least 200 bucks on ebay and similar pages.. You are a lucky man :)

My wife found one of these at an estate sale today. She paid $50 for it. Is that a good deal. I have not seen the paper work on it, but she said it was made in 1986.

Got one of these babies pretty cheap in the '90s, purely by luck, one of those chance happenings that you look back at and thank your lucky stars about.
They sound fabulous, lovely warm analogue humms, squelches and zaps and built like an out-house - they just don't make them like they used to.
