Waldorf MiniWorks 4-Pole
The MiniWorks is a stand-alone 4-pole resonant analog filter and modulation module. Use it to create those Daft-Punk filter sweeps on entire drum & rhythm loops! Run any sounds, synthesizers or loops through it and filter them with a truly analog-like VCF (filter) that is not only very flexible but MIDI controllable as well! There are many modulation sources that can be programmed between the extensive VCF, VCA, envelope and LFO sections and these settings can be stored in the (20) user memory patches. The MiniWorks can also be overloaded for a lo-fi crunchy sound too! If it were a true stereo filter it would be perfect (input is mono, output is stereo), but in its price range it is the best analog filter module available!

I bought it to compliment my digital synths and to use it as an alternative filter with my other analog equipment...it's mono input but this isn't a problem for me as most of my synths are mono anyways...really useful stereo output though!!
It uses the famous Moog ladder architecture and has a very nice raw power sound...if you increase the input level it can sound distorted too!!
but the 4 pole its amazing for mods the sound the matrix modulation its very complex and the lfo its very freak, and overall the 4 pole its vey musical machine. and the cem filter 4 pole from the prophet 5 its lethal machine, all its asignable with control change.
The VCA get be set to always open, triggered by a audio threshold or MIDI. All parameters are MIDI CC controlled and the LFO goes up to audio rate - which makes it possible to do some very complex FX.
