GRAINBOY is the work of Jade Rose, a musician who enjoys building synthesizers, guitars, audio software, and other gizmos. It is a granular synth that was designed to look like the original Gameboy by Nintendo and runs straight from any web browser.

Users can click the "screen" of the GRAINBOY to load audio files and then twist the knobs or use the d-pad to make interesting sounds. The "A" button is for selecting granular synth mode while the "B" button is reserved for FX mode. Play and Stop functions are reserved for the "Start" button and the "Select" button is used to switch between the file select screen and videosynth display. The latter shows some Sierpinski triangles while the audio is playing, which is pretty neat.

GRAINBOY can be found on the Jade Rose website along with some of her other interesting projects.
