QUADSCOPE Eurorack Oscilloscope Finds Success On Kickstarter
Post date:
Synth-related gear has been doing pretty well on Kickstarter lately and the latest piece of tech to find success is the QUADSCOPE by Yezzmod Audio. This is the small team of hardware and software engineers who created the popular Scoppy DIY oscilloscope for hobbyists and the FHDM TECH branded oscilloscope hardware. According to the Kickstarter page, it is an oscilloscope, tuner, and spectrum analyzer for Eurorack modular synthesizers and features dual timebases, four channels, and four buffered outputs packed into only 10HP.
The dual timebase feature is what sets QUADSCOPE apart from the competition as it allows users to view low-frequency and audio-frequency signals simultaneously. This is something that would require two separate oscilloscope modules in the past to accomplish. The four separate input channels have complementary buffered outputs that are accurate representations of the input signals while the spectrum analyzer is great for viewing the harmonic content of the output of your modules. QUADSCOPE is also capable of displaying up to four tuners, each with a range of C0 to A9. It’s even possible to split the display into two separate ‘windows” to view different functions simultaneously. Thanks to five buttons and two control knobs menu diving has been kept to a minimum as well.
The QUADSCOPE Kickstarter launched with a $9,916 goal, but quickly surpassed it with plenty of time to spare. Pledges start at AU$ 289 for a QUADSCOPE, which is 25% off the MSRP of AU$ 375. According to Yezzmod Audio, the hardware and firmware development of QUADSCOPE is largely complete and a small pre-production run is already in the hands of their beta testers. Kickstarter backers can expect their QUADSCOPE to be delivered between January 2025 and March 2025, depending on the pledge they have selected.
