Roland revealed that the SP-404 MKII will boast a vivid OLED display for visual waveform editing, full menu access, and more, as well as 17 velocity-sensitive RGB pads with no-click designs. With 16GB of internal storage, low-latency pads, and rapid sample editing, the MKII will also offer faster workflow with quick startup and load times. It has a compact, ultra-lightweight design and comes pre-loaded with a sound library of 144 high-quality samples and patterns. Plenty of classic SP onboard effects, such as Vinyl Simulator, DJFX Looper, Cassette Simulator, and more, are also included. In addition, the MKII has 32-voice polyphony, 160 samples per project, and 16 internal projects. Users will even be able to fully customize their MKII with options such as a removable faceplate, downloadable outline template, multiple screensavers, and personalized startup logos.
