Black Corporation has announced that they are now taking pre-orders for their new and improved XERXES MK2 analog polyphonic synthesizer. The total price for XERXES MK2 is $4499 with free worldwide shipping. Those interested in pre-ordering have to pay $1,499 upfront and the remaining balance of $3000 when the product is ready for shipping, which is expected in October 2022.

What buyers will get for their money is a synth with two digitally controlled analog oscillators, a multimode analog filter, a white and pink noise generator, two ADS envelopes, and two sync-able LFOs. XERXES also features a unique analog BBD chorus with three modes, full MPE-based polyphonic aftertouch, and complete MIDI control. New to the MK2 is an updated VCA section, balanced outputs, and high-quality audio via USB conversion.

In a post on social media, Roman Filippov from Black Corporation revealed that the run would be limited to 100 black edition units due to the semiconductor shortage. Unfortunately, this is also the reason why Black Corporation was forced to raise the market price of the synth.
