Erica Synths Releases Black K-Phaser Based On Genre Defining FX Unit
Post date:
One of the latest additions to the Erica Synths roster is the Black K-Phaser, which is their take on the Krautrock Phaser. The Krautrock Phaser is a classical, genre-defining FX unit, and the Black K-Phaser retains its original concept of 8 all-pass filters with photoresistors. However, Erica Synths redesigned the filters and modulation circuit while adding several unique features in the process.
In addition to a dip switch for selecting the number of filter stages involved in the resonance path, it also has a resonance attenuverter for bringing in never-heard-before feedback artifacts. It also has a SPREAD mode that detunes the all-pass filters for even more distinct behavior. The modulation possibilities of the phaser are expanded even more thanks to a built-in voltage-controlled LFO with selectable waveforms. This can be used as an independent modulation source for your modular system as well. According to Erica Synths, the Black K-Phaser is their tribute to the German electronic music pioneers that largely shaped the sound of electronic music worldwide.
The Black K-Phaser is available from the Erica Synths website for € 190.00. They offer worldwide delivery, and it comes with a 24-month warranty.
