If your DAW of choice is FL Studio, then you might have noticed that it received a new update recently. Imagine-Line has released the 20.6 updates to all FL Studio users for free and it brings with it a host of new updates and features.

Amongst the new features are "Distructor" which aggregates the most popular Distortion and Filter effects into a single multi-FX guitar-pedal inspired plugin as well as "NewTime" a time-warping editor. An "Upload to cloud" option is also now available for rendering songs to your SoundCloud account and you can now explore Euclidean rhythms using the new Euclidean rhythm generator. The most exciting new feature for vintage synth fans with original hardware is the Fruity Voltage Controller, which now offers control voltage support. It is only included with Fruity Edition and up, but allows you to interface your DAW with external Control Voltage hardware using a DC-coupled Audio Interface.

In addition to the new features, Image-Line has also improved a few existing features. For example, Fruity Granulizer now has a sample display as well as play-head and sample-start visualizations. DirectWave now supports FLAC for the Monolithic save format and FL Studio Mobile now has multi-output capability.

Unfortunately, the release of FL Studio 20.6 also came with a couple of issues, which were quickly reported by the community. Image-Line addressed these with the FL Studio 20.6.1 maintenance update. In addition to the bug fixes, they also snuck in even more improved features with the 20.6.1 update.
