Moog Announces That It Is Now Part of inMusic

Post date:

Moog Music president, Joe Richardson, has announced that the company is now part of the “inMusic family.” inMusic, which is located in Cumberland, Rhode Island, was founded in 2012 by Jack O’Donnell and has grown to be the parent company for many brands like Akai Professional, Alesis, M-Audio, Rane and much more.

In his statement, Richardson said that Moog is thrilled to be joining the talented, like-minded people at inMusic. He also said that the new partnership would enable Moog to access inMusic’s efficient global distribution and supply chain network. In turn, Moog will provide inMusic and its affiliated brands with deep expertise in analog synthesis. Richardson believes that inMusic will be able to provide Moog with solutions to support the areas that have been ongoing challenges for the company as a small manufacturing business.

Richardson reassured Moog fans that the company will continue to keep engineering, designing, and building instruments in their hometown of Asheville, North Carolina, USA. According to Richardson, the product development for Moog will also continue to be led by Steve Dunnington, who is a long-time engineer for the company and a former student of Bob Moog himself.

As part of his statement, Richardson mentions that he has had conversations with Jack O’Donnell, who shared with him stories about his first synthesizer, which was a Moog modular system. Moog also hosted Jack at their factory where they shared the passion and dedication of their small team with him.

Finally, Richardson stated that Moog is excited to introduce the many innovative hardware and software instruments that their team has on the horizon. He is positive that the inMusic partnership will offer Moog a new to reach new communities while continuing to push the boundaries of music technology.
