The TRITON Music Workstation Synthesizer is the latest addition to the Korg Collection series and fans have been waiting a long time for a faithful software recreation of its iconic sounds.

For those not familiar with the Korg Collection, it is the official software synthesizer versions of their most iconic hardware synths. Korg has strived for authenticity with this series by using the skills and expertise of original developers and advisers where possible. The Korg TRITON series of synthesizer workstations were originally released in 1999 and quickly became a staple of a lot of hit songs. However, it hasn't been until the 20th anniversary of its release that the TRITON was finally available as an official software plug-in.

What made the TRITON so remarkable for its time was its high-quality PCM samples that were captured at a rate of 48kHz. The original hardware also has two types of filters, two master effects, five insert effects, a master EQ and a combination mode. The software version is able to completely reproduce the Hyper Integrated synthesis system of the original. As with the other instruments in the Korg Collection, the original engineers who worked on the TRITON has supervised the development process to ensure that the software is able to be as authentic as possible.
