ARP Little Brother

ARP Little Brother Image

The Little Brother is an expansion module for any ARP-System monophonic or polyphonic synthesizer. It has its own built-in VCO oscillator and LFO. Use it to double up your monophonic Axxe or really fatten up the sound of an Odyssey, 2500 or 2600! The LFO can add really new and cool modulation effects to these synths too! Best of all several Little Brothers can be stacked to greatly expand or enhance the functionality of your ARP synths in a modular-like fashion! Though the Little Brother uses ARP's System Interface for interfacing with these other synths, it has CV, gate and trigger inputs and an LFO out as well.

So it's basically ARP's version of a Freq Box. Interesting that ARP beat Moog to the punch by about 25 years, in the portable module department. I'd like to hear this thing and interface it with a few Moog pedals.

I am thinking of getting one of these to go with my Axxe. Can you select more than one waveform and pitch at once or is it just one at a time?

Great add on to get a vintage osc sound into a modern setup like a modular, which has vintage filter emulations but no vintage osc emu. The square wave is big and hollow just like what's in the 2600.

Great addition to any Arp or other analog synth with CV/Gate.
The Little Brother has a 2600 VCO implemented.
The same VCO setup and interface can be found in the Arp Solina string synthesizer, Arp Explorer Mk1 and the Solina C112 organ model "Explorer" (which is ultra rare outside Holland)
Love the angular waveforms that this one produces.
Dont expect to get it cheap, they are much loved so anywhere in the range of 500$ up is nothing out of the ordinary.
