Moog Taurus II
The Taurus is an interesting synth, it's a pedal synthesizer with essentially the same synth engine as the Rogue. A very basic synth with only sawtooth or square waveforms. But these waveforms go low and their bass sounds are great. The pedal controller outputs cv/gate so it can be used to control other synths as well. The synth section has an external source input for the filter, and there are portamento, pitch and mod wheels too! Not at all a bad synth, and it is a very unique addition to any studio. But can you play with your feet?

doesnt have is the built in "bass enhancer" circuit that is built into the Taurus 1. It's like the bass boost on your stereo or walkman. Taurus 2 can imitate the three Taurus 1 presets almost exactly, and do mch more than the variable preset. Don't believe those that say these are junk.
They simply just CAN'T use them.
thank you for your time, and buy a set of these if you ever see them 4 sale...
a sound here and who only uses presets!
I bought these and brought them home to play along with my minimoog and Roland D-70.This synth engine gets a LOT of the classic sounds my mini does. Even the trilling filter "missing persons" sounds. They don't do audible pulse wave, or sime wave, but they do the sync excellently, like the wow in RELAX We also
do Tom Sawyer and Subdivisions and these sound great
for the taurus bass. BUT IF you dont know basic subtractive analog synthesis, you wouldn't be able to get any of the GREATNESS out of this synth. Those musicians need presets, like the Taurus 1, or the Taurus 3.
I sequence mine from an SH-101 or play it from an SH-2 and then run the Taurus back into the sh-2 for a 4 Osc. machine.
It's also good for running an RS-09's gate output to the the Taurus' gate in, and then running the RS-09 through moog's VCF and VCA. It makes a great standalone drone box too.
Seriously, if you find it useless, then you are clearly lacking in imagination.
