Cherry Audio Quadra Now Available

Post date:

Cherry Audio is back with another software synthesizer in the form of Quadra, which is a "super-accurate" emulation of the ARP Quadra synth. This is the first time this rare and coveted synthesizer is being reproduced as a virtual instrument since its original release in 1978.

According to Cherry Audio, Quadra introduces improvements throughout every section, which brings out the full potential of the original ARP design. In addition to increasing the transposition ranges for most sections, they have also beefed up the Poly Synthesizer section and enhanced the Lead Synthesizer section. The rudimentary LFO of the Quadra has also been turned into a full-featured, multi-waveform, tempo-syncable LFO.

Other highlights include modeling the ARP Quadra's 14-stage phaser, which has been improved with additional effects. In addition, for maximum flexibility, Quadra now includes a multiple-out version with a standard stereo mix and the dry independent outputs for each section that the original hardware had.
