A new year means having to change calendars, but thanks to The Bob Moog Foundation, there’s an easy choice for synth enthusiasts. The foundation announced that they are releasing a 2024 calendar commemorating Moog’s 90th birthday. It is titled “Bob Moog, His Life, and Work,” which uses professional and personal photos, letters, and other historical documents to trace the first 50 years of his life. 

According to the foundation, the purpose of the calendar is to highlight things like Dr. Robert Moog’s academic ambitions, personal interests, and relationships. It will also bring to light his entrepreneurial spirit from a young age as well as his growing family during an intense time of expansion for his original business. All of this is accomplished via a broad array of beautiful vintage photos along with insightful personal correspondence. The calendar shows a personal side to Bog Moog and conveys what a complex and nuanced human being he was, which is in contrast to the iconic status most synth enthusiasts know him as. According to Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director of the Bob Moog Foundation, their hope is that people come away with a greater sense of Bob as a creative, driven, entrepreneurial spirit.

Discounts are also available when purchasing three or more calendars, and the calendars are expected to ship by December 22, 2023.
