Roland has released the latest version of their Zenbeats music creation app on Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac, featuring a host of new features. According to Roland, the goal was to create a more inspiring Zenbeats experience and to accomplish this, they have been surveying users and analyzing functionality over the last year.

Zenbeats 3.0 is a music creation app that users can play like an instrument and now includes the ZR1 Drum Sampler, the ability to sample and import directly into the pads, drum sound design with FX, and more. In addition, it features a slice editor for precise cropping and fading, a step sequencer for advanced beat-making along with a dynamic user interface across all platforms. Other highlights include streamlined browsers with album art and favorites, group tracks for sub-mixing and organization, and MIDI editor enhancements with velocity graph added control. For the 3.0 update, Roland has also added drag and drop audio rendering for quick MIDI to audio conversion.

Of course, Zenbeats 3.0 also retains all the features that have made the app so popular amongst users. From Roland's ZCS1 synth engine to the ability to effortlessly transfer between phone, tablet, and desktop.

Zenbeats 3.0 is available in three different versions along with a free option. With the free version, users can access all the music production essentials and purchase additional loops and presets in the Zenbeats store. In addition, users can also buy the "Platform Unlock" version, which features all the instruments and effects on their favorite platform, or the "Max Unlock," which features everything on all platforms and devices. Finally, all Roland Cloud membership tiers include Zenbeats Max Unlock.
