Clavia Nord Lead 2

Nord Lead 2 Image

The incredible Nord Lead synthesizer is taken a few steps further with the Nord Lead 2. It uses the same synthesis technology and sounds as good as the Nord Lead, but adds a few nice new touches. These features include a ring modulator, OSC 1 can sync with the white noise generator, increased LFO and arpeggiator waveforms and patterns, distortion in the squelchier punchier filter section and 4 individual outputs.

All the great sound, MIDI control and analog-like sound and design that made the Nord Lead famous return in this new and improved version. For those of you who do not need the 49 note velocity+aftertouch sensitive keyboard, there is a rack module version - the Nord Rack 2.

Nord Lead 2 is an absolutly outstanding board, does such a sound job of cutting through the mix, like no other, is also great for live. Studio and live this board has truly impressed. Has its own unique sound.

I picked this baby up for 400 bones and I'm loving it . I can get some crazy CS 80 type sounds . I think I might have a problem with my PCM
CIA but the tweeking the presets alone can still blow my mine I would highly suggest this as an alternative to a CS 80 or Andromeda A6 I don't know not quite as powerful but still real analog feel phat sound.

one of the most amazing sounding synthesizers i've ever owned! i find a lot of the presets and what i do with them when i change them up, to come out with a sadness and melancholy feel that is beyond description. eerie and spectral as well. for a virtual analog synth, in my humble opinion the NL2 is king of its kind. add to the amazing tones this synth puts out, all the controls and knobs being midi as well definitely gives you a sense of control unlike MOST other synths that are comparable to the NL2! a must have for the musicians that love to program the hell out of their gear and get just what they want out of said piece of gear!

thin! thin? Possibly yes at the preset but... Why not map all 4 (A,B,C,D) parts to be 1 voice. Thats 8 Osc's all slightly detuneable for 1 patch. How fat do you need. You've got to love it.
